2020 U.S. Open Postponement FAQs

April 6, 2020 LIBERTY CORNER, N.J. By Jeff Altstadter, USGA

2020 U.S. OPEN (postponed)

I bought tickets for the June dates for the U.S. Open. Will they work for the rescheduled dates?
Yes. Your tickets are good for the rescheduled dates, and no action is needed from your end.  We look forward to seeing you at Winged Foot!

I purchased tickets to the U.S. Open and cannot make the rescheduled dates. How can I get a refund?

Refunds are available. Click here to begin the process.

Are tickets still available?
Yes. Tickets are available at usopen.com.

My tickets were purchased through a secondary market service. How can I receive a refund?
You will need to contact the secondary market seller to determine their refund policy. We can only provide refunds on tickets purchased through the USGA.

Will there be changes to Fox Sports' television coverage?
In partnership with the USGA, Fox Sports remains committed to providing golf fans an exceptional viewing experience. As we work through the details surrounding the postponement, information about the broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.

Where can I find updated information as more details become available?
The USGA will continue to communicate to ticket buyers directly via email. Information can always be found at usopen.com or through the U.S. Open app.

If I have already applied to play, do I have to apply again for the new dates?

All players who registered for qualifying have already been issued a full refund for their entry. All locally exempt players will be withdrawn and issued a full refund within 10-12 business days. Once updated qualifying sites and dates are announced, those players will need to re-apply for the championship.

Fully exempt players who have registered for the U.S. Open Championship will remain registered. Those who do not wish to compete on the new dates can request a full refund by emailing champs@usga.org.
