Cheer on the champions at Torrey Pines! This is your chance to greet U.S. Open players with a motivating message before they take the first tee.

Show your U.S. Open pride and participate in our daily themes by posting a photo or video on Instagram or Twitter with the appropriate hashtag and ensuring your profile is set to public in order to be included.

How to Cheer on the Champions

Pick from one or all of our daily themes – Toast to Torrey, U.S. Open 21, “US” Open, and Father’s Day.

  • Take a hyped-up video of yourself rooting on your favorite golfers that they will see each day as they walk into the U.S. Open Championship.

 

During June 9-18, 2021, post your video to Instagram and/or Twitter with the hashtag that corresponds with the theme you’ve chosen. Be sure to review the Dos and Don’ts below prior to creating and posting your video!

Thursday – Toast to Torrey –#USOpenCheers

It’s finally Thursday, which means it’s time to kick tournament weekend off with a drink in hand.

Raise a glass. Or a can. Or a bottle. And raise your voice. Whatever you’re drinking, give a toast to the champions at Torrey and wish them luck using #USOpenCheers.

Disclaimer: Must be 21 or older to consume alcohol. 

Friday – Cheer on your favorite player - #USOpen21

Ten thousand will enter, 156 will qualify and one will be crowned U.S. Open champion. Let us know who you are rooting for and cheer on your favorite player at Torrey Pines with #USOpen21

Saturday – “US” Open – #TeamUSOpen

The U.S. Open is about all of US. It’s a celebration of American pride and excellence on and off the course.

Sport your Red, White and Blue and cheer on your favorite player as they try to win the U.S. Open with #TeamUSOpen.

Sunday – Father’s Day – #USOpenGolfDads

The U.S. Open Final Round on Father’s Day is a proud tradition we’re excited to return to in 2021.

Submit a video with your dad, your kids, or something that reminds you of your dad to show how this day is about being together with those we love. Use the hashtag #USOpenGolfDads.

DOs and DON’Ts for video submissions

Videos should be keeping with the spirit and the image of the U.S. Open. All applicable Instagram and/or Twitter terms apply.

 

Do:

  • Do show us your energy! Let your favorite players know how excited you are to cheer them on this week.
  • Do be fun & creative with the theme(s) you choose to submit for. Put on a themed outfit or your favorite golf gear.
  • Do highlight your personality. Show us your best golf clap, club twirl, tip of the cap or other in your message.
  • Do make sure your video is on theme
  • Do make your video appropriate for a general audience of all ages.

 

Don’t:

  • Don’t have any audio or music playing in the background
  • Don’t show any 3rd party brand logos within your video, including on your clothing, hat, or clubs
  • Don’t use profane language or explicit content or include any political messages or hate speech

Voices of Victory allows you to create audio and video recordings of yourself that will be submitted to the USGA for consideration for use at Torrey Pines Golf Course at the 2021 U.S. Open.  If selected, the recordings will be played onsite at Torrey Pines and/or may  also be included in USGA social/digital content and on domestic and international U.S. Open broadcasts, including but not limited to NBC / Golf Channel, USOpen.com, USGA & U.S. Open social handles, in connection with the 2021 U.S. Open.

By submitting a video message using the above mentioned hashtags to be included in Voices of Victory, you agree that the USGA, its affiliates, third-party partners (such as its sponsors and broadcast partners) and suppliers (including 160/90 Agency) may use such recordings (which may include your voice and image and the voices and images of those you record with you), your name, social media handles and location data in accordance with the above purposes. 

By submitting a video message using the above mentioned hashtags to be included in Voices of Victory, you also agree that the USGA is located in the United States of America and any uploaded content or personal data through social media to the USGA can be used for marketing and promotional purposes in accordance with relevant social media platform user-submitted content policies.

By making a submission, to the extent permitted by law, you agree to release, discharge, hold harmless and indemnify Voice of Victory, USGA, American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc., Facebook, Inc., Twitter, Inc., and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the forgoing (collectively, “Released Parties”)  from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind (including, without limitation, arising from claims based upon copyright infringement, trademark infringement, invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity) to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from your participation in the program and/or the use of any submission by a Released Party
