Gerard will tee it up in his first U.S. Open after sharing medalist honors at The Club at Admiral's Cove in Jupiter, Fla. The 2022 University of North Carolina graduate posted 5-under-par 137. Gerard just turned professional after graduating from the University of North Carolina in May. He is competing on PGA Tour Canada this summer. He finished fourth in UNC history with a 71.65 stroke average. Collected one tournament victory in his five seasons in Chapel Hill, the 2021 Rod Myers Invitational at Duke. He competed in the 2019, 2020 and 2021 U.S. Amateur Championships, and was a college teammate of 2021 runner-up Austin Greaser, who is in the U.S. Open field. Among his junior victories was the 2015 American Junior Golf Association Polo Junior Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
