Montgomery will make his second U.S. Open start after shooting 6-under 136 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco. The Korn Ferry Tour player owns two professional victories: the 2020 and 2021 Nevada Open. He was the runner-up in the 2020 LECOM Suncoast Classic, losing a three-way playoff with eventual winner Hayden Buckley and Dawson Armstrong. He played his collegiate golf at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
