Horsfield will make his fourth U.S. Open start after earning his way to The Country Club via a DP World Tour four-event points list. The former University of Florida standout owns three DP World Tour (formerly European Tour) victories, including the 2022 Soudal Open, one of the tournaments on the four-event U.S. Open series. His other two wins came in 2020 at the Hero Open and Celtic Classic. Horsfield was born in England, but spent a majority of his childhool in Florida. He was the runner-up in the 2016 Western Amateur and qualified for match play in the 2016 U.S. Amateur before turning professional in 2017.
