Hoshino is set to make his third U.S. Open start after advancing from the Dallas Texas, final qualifier, shooting 9-under-par 133 at Royal Oaks and Lakewood country clubs. Five of Hoshino's six professional victories have come on the Japan PGA Tour, including two in 2021. His last win is the 2021 Asia-Pacific Diamond Cup Golf. He also won the 2021 Kansai Open Golf Championship.
