The Swede earned his second U.S. Open start by virtue of being among the top 10 in a four-event U.S. Open series on the DP World Tour (formerly European Tour). Soderberg owns six worldwide victories, including one on the DP World Tour, the 2019 Omega European Masters in a playoff over four other players, including 2011 U.S. Open champion Rory McIlroy. Soderberg also registered a pair of victories on the European Challenge Tour. Soderberg played college golf at Coastal Carolina University, where he posted a pair of victories. He also represented Sweden in the European Boys' Team Championship in 2008 and the European Amateur Team Championship in 2011 and 2013. He turned professional in 2013.
