The South African qualified for his first U.S. Open by sharing medalist honors at Springfield (Ohio) Country Club. His 7-under-par 133 matched Brian Stuard at the site. As an 11-year-old Duffue had the chance to play with Retief Goosen in 2000, and it changed his life. Goosen went on to win a pair of U.S. Open titles in 2001 and 2004. Daffue played collegiately at Lamar University, graduating in 2012. He currently plays on the Korn Ferry Tour, where he has five top-10 finishes in 2022, including a tie for second at the LECOM Suncoast Classic. In May, he registered a pair of solo third-place finishes in the Visit Knoxville Open and AdventHealth Championship. When he is not playing on tour, he serves as a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Houston.
