Sinnott, a member of the PGA Tour of Australasia, earned his first U.S. Open start by surviving a 3-for-1 playoff for the final spot in the Final Qualifying event held at Caledonian Golf Club in Chiba, Prefecture, Japan. He posted rounds of 68-70 for a 36-hole total of 6-under-par 138. Sinnott owns two worldwide victories, one one on the PGA Tour of Australasia and another on the Asian Tour/Japan Golf Tour. His latest title came in February at the TPS Victoria on the PGA Tour of Australasia. He also captured the 2017 Leopalace21 Myanmar Open, an event co-sanctioned by the JGT and Asian Tour.
