The winner of 10 worldwide professional events will be making his third U.S. Open start after posting 9-under 133 in final qualifying conducted at RattleSnake Point Golf Club in Canada. Kodaira's long PGA Tour victory came in the 2018 RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in a playoff over Si Woo Kim. He also owns seven victories on the Japan Golf Tour, including the 2015 Japan Open. As an amateur, he represented Japan in the 2010 World Amateur Team Championship.
