Earned his fourth U.S. Open start by going through the Springfield (Ohio) Country Club final qualifier for a second consecutive year. He posted 4-under 136 in the 36-hole event on June 6. He registered his first PGA Tour win in the 2015 Quicken Loans National by three strokes over Rickie Fowler, and followed up with a victory in the 2018 Barbasol Championship. He also won the 2009 Mexico Open on the Nationwide (now Korn Ferry) Tour. The Iowa native played two years at Winona State University before transferring to Boise State. In December 2009, he became just the third player to medal in the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament by leading after every round.
