At 57 years of age, Quinn will be the oldest player in the field. The Holden, Mass., resident qualified for his fifth U.S. Open after surviving a two-hole playoff at Century and Old Oaks Country Clubs in Purchase, N.Y. After shooting 2-under 138, Quinn birdied his second playoff hole at Old Oaks C.C. to secure one of the last three available spots. Quinn advanced to the Purchase site after surviving local qualifying at Taconic Golf Club along with his son, Owen. Quinn turned professional in 1988 after playing at Northwestern University. He owns eight worldwide victories, including four on the Nationwide Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour). He also registered a pair of wins on the Asian Tour. He currently is a part-time player on the PGA Tour Champions. He is a native of Worcester, Mass.
