After the conclusion of stroke play in the 68th U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, Kelly Sim, of Edgewater, N.J., was disqualified for returning a score card for Round 2 with a score of 4 on hole No. 18, when she actually scored a 5. The scoring error was brought to the attention of the Committee by Sim, who reached out to the Committee to ask about a discrepancy with her score on usga.org. Under Rule 6-6d, the penalty for signing for a score lower than actually taken is disqualification.
Because the match-play draw was already published when Sim was disqualified, her Round-of-64 opponent, Calista Reyes, will win their match by disqualification.
