Deborah Platt Majoras

Deborah Platt Majoras, of McLean, Virginia, is in her sixth year as a member of the USGA Executive Committee.
Majoras serves on the Board of Directors of American Express, of Valero Energy Corporation, and of the Brunswick Group. In 2022, she retired as the chief legal officer and secretary for The Procter & Gamble Company, where she led nearly 500 lawyers and government relations professionals for more than 12 years. From 2004-2008, she served as Chairman of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, during which she also co-chaired the President's Identity Theft Task Force. She also served as Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division from 2001-03. Majoras serves on the Board of Governors of the First Tee Foundation, on the Board of Westminster College, on the Advisory Board of the Kiawah Island Club, and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Virginia School of Law.
Majoras earned her bachelor's degree from Westminster College in Pennsylvania and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
In 2024, Majoras will chair the Equipment Standards (JESC), Nominating and Governance committees.
