DeChambeau, in 2020, joined Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as the only players to have won the NCAA individual title, the U.S. Amateur and U.S. Open. He was the only player to finish in red figures at Winged Foot and just the second player to win a Winged Foot U.S. Open with a sub-par total for 72 holes (Fuzzy Zoeller in 1984). His 3-under 67 on Sunday was the only score among 61 players to better par. DeChambeau won the 2015 U.S. Amateur at Olympia Fields (Ill.) Country Club two months after winning the NCAA title while representing Southern Methodist University. The 2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational winner now owns 10 worldwide victories, eight of which have come on the PGA Tour. Before turning professional, he earned low-amateur honors in the 2016 Masters. He also is one of five players to have won the NCAA Championship and U.S. Amateur in the same year, joining Nicklaus, Woods, Phil Mickelson and Ryan Moore. He now is one of 12 players to have won a U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur title. All of his irons have the same length shafts. Member of the 2015 USA Walker Cup Team and 2014 USA World Amateur Team that won the Eisenhower Trophy. Member of the 2018 and 2021 U.S. Ryder Cup Teams and 2019 Presidents Cup Team. Also reprsented the USA in the 2014 Palmer Cup.
