The Canadian is set to make his fourth U.S. Open start, thanks to qualifying for the season-ending Tour Championship. His lone PGA Tour victory came in the 2019 Valero Texas Open in San Antonio after Monday qualifying for the event. He was the runner-up to Gunn Yang in the 2014 U.S. Amateur at Atlanta Athletic Club after being a semifinalist a year earlier at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass. At Kent State, he won the 2012 Mid-America Conference Championship and finished fourth in the NCAA Championships. He also claimed the 2014 Jones Cup and represented Canada in the 2014 World Amateur Team Championship. Connors posted his third consecutive top 10 (T-6) at the Masters Tournament in April.
