Will be making his fifth consecutive U.S. Open start after playing his way into the season-ending Tour Championship. The native of the Republic of Korea was the top player on the Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) in 2018, earning a promotion to the PGA Tour. Im claimed his maiden PGA Tour title in 2020 at The Honda Classic and followed up with with No. 2 at the 2021 Shriners Children's Open. In 2018, he became the 16th player to win a Web.com Tour event in his first start (Bahamas Great Exuma Classic). He fell just short of Jason Day's mark (19 years, 7 months, 26 days) of being the youngest winner on the circuit. Later in 2018, he captured the WinCo Foods Portland Open. He then went on to be the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2019. Before joining the Web.com Tour, he posted six top-five finishes on the Japan Golf Tour in 2017.
