Chip is Firmly Planted on Koepka’s Shoulder

Comedian Rodney Dangerfield made a living off the phrase, “I get no respect.” Four-time major champion and world No. 1 player Brooks Koepka uses a perceived lack of respect and recognition as motivation. “There’s a commercial running now that Fox put up to preview the U.S. Open, and I’m not even in it,” said an incredulous Koepka. “It’s just mind-boggling – like, how do you forget that?” Koepka also related an incident at last week’s RBC Canadian Open when he worked out shortly after good friend Dustin Johnson left the same gym. “Some guy was talking about how Dustin was just in there and how cool it was. I was with my trainer, Barrett, and we were just laughing. It was just funny.” In his 2018 U.S. Open and 2019 PGA Championship victories, Koepka had the last laugh, beating Johnson by two strokes in each.
